Another belt for Kevin Membreno the new NYS ISKA Amateur Kickboxing Champion!
Kevin Membreno def. Tayvonne Thomas in Main Event Kickboxing Match via unanimous decision on June 24, 2018. Kevin wins the NYS ISKA Amateur Kickboxing Championship Belt. Kevin has now won two titles in the welterweight division. Kevin worked extremely hard to prepare for his bout. Training at 5am in the morning with Sensei Mark O'Mard and in the evening with Coach Angel. Coach Angel even had boxers train with Kevin to prepare him for his match. The pair along with his teammates at OMMA Karate helped push Kevin to reach his goal. Great job Kevin! Dylan Pigott and Chase McCullough takeover East Islip Middle School.
8 year old Dylan Pigott competed this past Sunday April 9th, 2017 at East Islip Middle School. Dylan has competed before however, never as a red belt (advanced division). He fought smart and evasive. He beat his opponents with speed and finesse. He lost his last match against a very tough opponent. He won 2nd place in sparring. We are very proud of him. Congratulations to the Pigott family. Chase McCullough is no stranger to competition. He was ranked #1 in sparring for 2016 by NY Tournaments. He too competed in the advanced division in forms and sparring.
